Bio:
Jean Chiha is the owner of North Star Dental Laboratory and Milling Center, Santa Ana, CA and has served as the former president of the DLAOC from 2013 to 2016. He is a 1985 graduate of Institute Dento Technic, a private dental technology school in France. Chiha lectures internationally on dental communication, case planning, and best practices for case completion. Jean also writes and is featured periodically in technical articles for dental magazines globally.

Let’s talk aesthetics! Ultra-thin zirconia veneers with Prettau® Skin® – Clinical and lab procedure
Description:
During the lecture, Kaveh Shams, DT, will explain a new working procedure for creating ultra-thin zirconia veneers (0.2 mm) with minimal invasive tooth preparation. From precise tooth colour determination to final application, through micro-layering and production of individual preparation guides, the lecturer will illustrate the step-by-step procedure based on real patient cases, considering both clinical and laboratory work phases.
Bio:
Kaveh Shams graduated as a Dental Technician from Lambeth College – in London, UK, in 2010. Since then, he has worked in multiple dental laboratories in London and Toronto. In recent years, his passion for digital dentistry has led him to take responsibility as a CAD-CAM Specialist supporting and coaching dental community members across Canada. He continues serving the dental community as Zirkonzahn’s ambassador and branch manager.

Bio:
Renee Harris has been in dentistry for 26 years. Starting as a surgical tech and clinical manager in Periodontics. Renee transitioned into clinical training for the iTero digital scanner in 2011. Five years ago Renee helped develop the digital adoption specialist program, using her focus and passion to help dental practices excel using the digital innovations align technology provides. In her current role as the Senior iTero lab integration manager, Renee helps simplify the communication between Dr. and labs by helping them utilize a seamless digital workflow.

Karim Sahil RDT, MDT: Karim Sahil has earned his RDT, MDT, and acquired his Dental Technology certificate at George Brown College. As a Registered Dental Technologist, he earned a certificate of mastery on all five components of Dental Technology, including ceramics, crown and bridge, dentures, partial dentures, and orthodontics. He gained his Master Dental Technologist certificate from New York, USA, on the study of mandibular physiology, occlusion, and full mouth reconstruction. He maintains a dental laboratory in a dental clinic at Yorkville Village Dentistry. He provides services that include cosmetic dentistry, fixed implant restorations, and advanced full mouth restorative prostheses for dentists and oral specialists. He is a national speaker for Dentaurum Canada and provides education for dental professionals across Canada. He is also the president of Association of Dental Technologists of Ontario.
