Esthetic Meets Function: How to Use Logic to Achieve Natural Results
Description:
With all the innovations in dental materials on the market today, mixed with the endless information that is willingly shared online, it is now easier than ever to achieve realistic and esthetic fixed restorations.
But how do you take all this information and realistically incorporate it into your daily workflow?
Join and Dani and VITA North America as we go over color, morphology, texture, and other aspects you need to consider when attempting to create a beautiful, life-like restoration. She will combine years of her own continuing education classroom experience with the practical lessons she learned while working hands-on in the lab. She will discuss the reality of social media, the mistakes that many technicians make and how to fix them, the information gap between beginner and master technicians, as well as answer the frequently asked questions that technicians often approach her with. Progress and Innovations in the field of Dental Ceramics
Description: The professional world is changing rapidly. Our laboratories present a very different face from those I knew when I started. The advent of digital technology has considerably changed the overall vision of our porcelain rehabilitations. Until now, aesthetic crowns in traditional ceramic, with low coverage thicknesses, seemed to be a challenge that was very often doomed to failure. Over the past 7 years or so, new porcelain has emerged, in the form of pastes, and powders have become a thing of the past. With an extremely fine grain size, these paste porcelains have a strong covering power, which allows, even at very low thickness, to provide color, saturation and depth. With an aesthetic result that is more than satisfactory. During my conference, by illustrating some clinical cases, I will present my ways of approaching these ceramic pastes on a daily basis, the different applications and the many benefits. I will also present the new CADback software and its advantages.
Bio:
Dental ceramist, opinion leader, internationally recognized speaker, Christian Ferrari is a dental technician from France, recently arrived in Canada. After spending ten years in Switzerland with renowned ceramists, he opened his first laboratory in France. Very quickly was recognized for his sense and mastery of aesthetics. He was approached by an international company and contributed to the development of ceramic products, including his own porcelain line. Equally recognized for his photographic talents, he contributed to the development of many works. In 2008, he created his own dental Academy, where he trained many ceramists from many different countries. His passion, but mostly his curiosity is what today pushes him to explore the potential for new generations of ceramic pastes "Ceramotion One Touch"
